I enjoy saving forgotten lumber from rotting alone and making it into something that can be used and enjoyed with family and friends.

The idea and purpose behind the product design of Artzer Shaw Creative woodworks is beauty and functionality. All of the pieces are constructed from repurposed or upcycled materials; Barnwood, old doors, discarded table bases, tree limbs, etc. Each item is unique in its material and design.

My name is Matthew Shaw and I have been creating all my life. It started with Legos and soon progressed into my father’s shop, putting together mothers day gifts and display cases for model cars. Eventually the crafts matured into more functional items, stereo stands and record cases, tables and picture frames.

Items offered by Artzer Shaw Creative Woodworks are a blend of the creative eye that I inherited from my mother (Andrea Artzer) and the skills I was taught by my father (Howard Shaw). The idea of sourcing material from repurposed and discarded items came from my love of bringing new life to things that have been forgotten or written off as trash. The process of taking these materials and transforming them into functional items for your home or for friends and family to gather around is the founding tenet of this company.

The core product line includes barn wood shelving, tree limb coat racks and various designs of small coffee and end tables. Unique items like these will fill the available inventory based on materials! I am currently working on commissioned projects like dining room tables, a rock collection display case, a seed planting shelf and a bed frame. I would love to speak with you about a project for your specific needs! Please get in touch with me about a commission project.

Thank You!

Matthew Howard Shaw
